Jeden vierten Sonntag im Monat präsentiere ich Jazz on the latin side.

ESO ES LATIN JAZZ is my new radio show and part of the Superfly Jazz Sessions at Superfly.fm (Vienna). Broadcasted every fourth Sunday of the Month. My first show gathers some essential artists and recordings with samples of jazz con clave from six decades

Am 03. März laden José Ritmo und Dj Hernán V. in „The Box“ ein, um eine Jam Session mit den besten Musikern der österreichische und internationale Szene live zu erleben. Von 2004 bis 2008 hieß das Lokal im Wiener Hilton „Birdland”, gegründet von programmiert von Joe Zawinul, der auch 1979 im dreitägigen Festival „Havana Jam” mit Weather Report teilnahm. Die „Havana Jam” war eines der wenigen Projekte, die in kurzen Phasen der “Entspannung” des hegemonialen Drucks der USA auf Kuba möglich waren. Zu den Teilnehmern aus den USA zählten neben Weather Report, die CBS Jazz All-Stars, die Fania All-Stars, Kris Kristofferson, Rita Coolidge, Mike Finnigan and Bonnie Bramlett, Trio of Doom (John McLaughlin, Tony Williams, Jaco Pastorius) … zu den kubanischen zählten Irakere, das Orquesta Aragon (ich bringe den QUE BARLA MIONDA, erschienen auf der Doppel-LP Havana Jam, CBS 1979), Sara Gonzales, das Cuban Percussion Ensemble u.a.m.
